Stir Crazy
It's day three of a three day weekend, and I am going stir crazy. Yesterday, I made the first rough draft of the cookbook I'm working on this summer. So far I'm up to 25 pages. Today, I've been so bored in the last four hours that I decided to make cupcakes for my entire Algebra II class. I'm really trying to slow down and enjoy the weekend, but I have so much energy that it's very hard to not do anything. I do know, however, that I need some more alone time. I'm not sure how that's going to work out this summer. Regardless, classes start tomorrow, and I'll have no time for anything anymore.

Expectations of a Life Elsewhere
Though there's more than three weeks left before we move into our house, I can't stop dreaming about all the things I want to do there. I want to create a compost pile, grow parsnips, asparagus, and strawberries, sit on the deck and watch the birds. This summer will be full of planting, cooking, and decorating. I'm not sure how everything will come together, but by the new school year, I'll have the garden I've always wanted.

Domestic Tranquility
Today, I made homemade zucchini bread. There's something nice about hand grating the zucchini, stirring in the wet ingredients into the dry, and watching the walnuts disappear into the thick batter. I feel like I'm providing for my "family" and enjoying myself at the same time. I'm excited to slow down this summer and start taking up more responsibility at home. I'm looking forward to keeping house, gardening, cooking, and even doing some of the chores. I think it'll be awesome to be providing at home while Bubs goes to work.

If I had all the time in the world:
I'd plant a garden full of wild flowering plants.
I'd travel all over the planet.
I'd meditate every day.
I'd spend more time near the water.
I'd spend more time with my family.
I'd read more books.
I'd sit and listen to the rain.
I'd make homemade breads.
I'd learn more crafts.
I'd travel all over the planet.
I'd meditate every day.
I'd spend more time near the water.
I'd spend more time with my family.
I'd read more books.
I'd sit and listen to the rain.
I'd make homemade breads.
I'd learn more crafts.
